Biography

Jeffrey Standen serves as Of Counsel to the firm. He is also a professor of law and teaches litigation-related subjects, including Evidence, Remedies, and Civil Procedure. His current
scholarly work focuses on defamation. He is the author of a forthcoming Aspen Publishing casebook on Media Law and Internet Defamation.

Previously, Standen served as an Associate attorney at Hunton Andrews Kurth (formerly Hunton & Williams), where his litigation practice revolved around complex multi-state RICO and securities suits, products liability, and general business litigation. He also held the position of Deputy General Counsel at the U.S. Sentencing Commission and served as a law clerk for a federal judge at the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
